Monrovia, September 21, 2023 – YEP Business and Leadership Consult, Inc. proudly announces the successful completion of the National Cadet Program Work Readiness Pre-Deployment Training from 4th – 9th September 2023, in 4 Counties, Montserrado; Nimba; Grand Bassa; Lofa County. The training was a transformational initiative made possible through the generous support of our esteemed donor partner, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Liberia. This endeavor was carried out in partnership with the Government of Liberia through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry under Project Number 00126109 (Livelihood & Employment Creation).
In addition to expressing our heartfelt gratitude to UNDP Liberia for their invaluable support, we extend our sincere appreciation to the Government of Liberia (GoL) through the Ministry of Youth and Sports for their pivotal role in nurturing the potential of young Liberians. Their dedication to preparing these youths for future leadership roles across various sectors has been instrumental in the success of this initiative.
The National Cadet Program Work Readiness Pre-deployment Training, expertly executed by YEP Consult, Inc., was precisely designed to equip 107 (55 males and 52 females) Cadets with essential skills, instill workplace ethics, and foster servant leadership qualities. Over five intensive days in each of the four (4) Counties, participants engaged in a comprehensive curriculum covering work readiness, professional skills, and personal development.
Key findings from the post-training evaluation underscore the program's impact:
- Knowledge and Skills Gained: The Cadets displayed remarkable improvement in knowledge and skills, particularly in areas such as effective communication, problem-solving, and workplace ethics. This reflects the effectiveness of the training in preparing them for the professional world.
- Attitude and Confidence Levels: The program has not only boosted the Cadets' confidence but also catalyzed a notable positive shift in their attitudes towards professionalism and workplace ethics. They are now poised to become responsible and ethical professionals, thanks to their participation in this initiative.
This holistic program offers comprehensive training, mentorship, and career guidance, equipping Cadets with the skills and knowledge essential for their professional growth. It is a testament to the Government of Liberia's commitment to the development of Liberia's youth and the creation of a brighter future for the nation.
