The Minister of Youth and Sports, Atty. Cornelia W. Kruah, on Sunday, February 22, attended the Congress of the Liberia Football Association (LFA), demonstrating the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening football governance and sports development in Liberia.
The Minister encouraged all stakeholders to remain actively engaged while respecting diversity in views and choices, emphasizing that football must continue to serve as a platform for unity rather than division, urging all parties to ensure that political differences do not undermine the spirit of togetherness that football promotes, as the LFA prepares for its April elections.
The Minister further stressed that the laws, policies, and regulations governing the LFA must be respected at all times, noting that adherence to established rules is essential for maintaining credibility and stability within the football community.
Atty Kruah expressed appreciation to Mustapha Raji and his leadership team for their contributions to the growth and development of football in Liberia.
The minister said that under her leadership, the Ministry of Youth and Sports remains committed to continued investment in sports infrastructure while placing strong emphasis on talent development among young people. The Ministry also seeks to promote greater inclusion of women in football and other sporting disciplines, ensuring equal opportunities across the sports sector.
Through these efforts, the Ministry aims to strengthen sports as a vehicle for national unity, youth empowerment, and sustainable development.
