Ministry of Youth and  Sports wishes to inform the public that the Honorable Minister of Youth & Sports, Atty. Cornelia W. Kruah, has held a series of separate consultative meetings with key stakeholders in Liberian football, including Mr. Mustapha Raji and Mr. Cassell Anthony Kuoh.

These engagements, held at different intervals, were conducted as part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to remain informed and constructively engaged on matters affecting the governance and development of football in Liberia. The meetings provided an opportunity for the Minister to listen to the perspectives of the respective parties and to gain a clearer understanding of the issues currently under discussion within the football community.

During the consultations, Minister Kruah reaffirmed the Government of Liberia’s commitment to the statutes of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), to which Liberia is a signatory through its football institutions. The Minister emphasized that adherence to these statutes remains essential to safeguarding the integrity, independence, and proper administration of football in the country.

At the same time, Minister Kruah underscored the importance of respecting the laws of the Republic of Liberia and the role of national institutions in upholding justice and the rule of law. In this regard, the Ministry recognizes the significant role of the Supreme Court of Liberia in ensuring equal justice under the law and in resolving complex legal disputes that may arise within the country.

The Minister further noted that respect for established processes and internationally recognized frameworks is critical in addressing concerns and resolving disputes within the football sector. In this regard, all stakeholders were encouraged to engage constructively through appropriate channels, with a view to ensuring stability and continuity in football governance.

The Ministry also used the opportunity to reiterate its support for dialogue and peaceful engagement among all parties. It underscored the importance of mutual respect, patience, and a shared commitment to the broader interests of Liberian football, particularly at a time when unity and cooperation are vital to the growth and development of the sport.
In light of ongoing discussions, the Ministry calls on all stakeholders, supporters, and the general public to remain calm and exercise restraint.

The Ministry believes that a measured and respectful approach will contribute to a more conducive environment for meaningful dialogue and sustainable outcomes.

The Ministry of Youth & Sports remains committed to supporting a peaceful, transparent, and rules-based process in the best interest of Liberian football and will continue to engage relevant stakeholders as necessary.
