Minister Kruah Receives Rousing And Traditional Welcome IN Nimba County
The Minister of Youth and Sports, Atty. Cornelia W. Kruah, received a rousing traditional welcome from the people of Nimba County as she closes her Nationwide County Tour and her decentralization plan aimed at directly engaging counties across Liberia.
Upon her arrival yesterday, the Minister and her delegation were warmly received at the Nimba–Bong County border by local authorities, including the Superintendent, City Mayor, traditional leaders, and a large gathering of young people, including members of the creative sector.
Minister Kruah and her delegation was subsequently escorted to the welcome center in Sokopa, where the ceremony continued.
In response, Minister Kruah expressed heartfelt gratitude for the honor and warm reception. She emphasized that her visit is part of a broader effort to better understand the challenges facing young people across the country.
She noted that the tour also seeks to assess the Ministry’s presence in the county and evaluate existing youth and sports facilities to guide effective interventions.
The Minister reaffirmed her commitment to decentralization, stressing that the Ministry of Youth and Sports is determined to move beyond Monrovia and ensure that young people in all counties are heard, supported, and empowered.
