President Joseph Nyuma Boakai’s Back to School Initiative, under the Ministry of Youth and Sports  through the National Service Program (NSP), was officially launched on October 9th. The initiative seeks to provide essential educational materials, such as book bags, textbooks, and stationery to elementary and junior high school students across Liberia, thereby easing the financial burden on parents and guardians.

Continuing the implementation of this impactful program, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Cllr. Jeror Cole Bangalu, accompanied by  Rev Dr. Luther Tarpeh, Chairman of Unity Party, on yesterday  October 17th, led the distribution exercise at Kendeja High School in Rehab, Paynesville in District #6. Earlier, the Minister had visited the ELWA Community in District #6, Montserrado County, where several students benefited from the distribution of book bags and educational supplies.

On October 12th, the Minister and his team also extended the President’s Back to School Project to Districts #13, and #17 distributing materials to needy students as part of the Ministry’s commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind in the pursuit of education.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports, through the National Service Program, remains fully engaged in the nationwide rollout of President Boakai’s Back to School Initiative, with plans to reach schools in other districts across the country.
