Jarius Andrew Greaves, a Leader of Obama, and a Member of the Inaugural Class of the Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa Program calls on and encourages young Liberians age 24-40 years to apply to the Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa Program 2019!

Paynesville, Liberia - Jarius Andrew Greaves, an acclaimed Liberian International Youth Development Expert is calling on and encouraging emerging leaders of Liberia, who have a demonstrated potential for impact, a clear commitment to integrity, and are at earlier stages of their journey to apply to the Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa Program.

Leader Greaves says, the Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa Program seeks emerging leaders who have a demonstrated potential for impact, a clear commitment to integrity, and are at earlier stages of their journey.

Leader Greaves further says, the Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa program recruits, through a step-by-step competitive processes in which 200 young Africa are selected annually from all 54 countries and bring them together in one space along with President and go through a long-week leadership, business development and social problems solving training with world experts. The Program inspires, empowers, and connects emerging leaders from across the African continent through a core set of shared values and leadership skills. Together, they will form a network of innovative and ethical changemakers and positive role models who will be well-prepared to create tangible solutions to the biggest challenges in their communities, countries, and continent.

From government, to civil society, to the private sector and beyond, we’re looking for changemakers who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the common good within their sphere of influence and have clear potential for impact and commitment to integrity.

Finally, Leader Greaves, the Leaders: Africa Program as launched last year where more than 10,000 young leaders African across Africa applied and he and three other Liberians were selected, taken to Johannesburg, South Africa and had the opportunity to have conversation with President Obama and as an outcome developed sensible solutions that they are working on to solve problems across the continent.

Brief Bio of Jarius Andrew Greaves

Jarius Andrew Greaves is an acclaimed Liberian Youth Development Expert with fifteen-year experience in local community engagement, youth empowerment initiatives, entrepreneurship, peacebuilding, social justice advocacy, and Monitoring and Evaluation. Jarius is Founder/Executive Director of Youth Network for Reform (YONER Liberia), Liberia’s first hybrid Youth-led Development Organization principally created in 2008 to reunite communities, and provide support for child victims and soldiers created by the civil wars. Part of YONER Liberia’s mission involves training young Liberians on how to become entrepreneurs and drive Liberia’s growth and development in the 21st Century to have them reintegrated into the society as useful and productive citizens.  YONER Liberia has helped more than 30,000 young people and connected more than 3,000 high school and university students to science and tech entrepreneurship in Liberia. YONER Liberia is the Innovation Hub of the US Department of State in Liberia, making it the 2nd Hub in West Africa and 4th on the Content of Africa. Furthermore, YONER Liberia is the Official Pitch Site Partner of the University of Delaware Horn Entrepreneurship Program in Liberia. 

Jarius is US Former President Obama’s Leader, an Alumnus of the US Department of Stat’s IVLP (USA) and GIST Bootcamp (South Africa) and a UN Global Top Talent for SDGs (Denmark). Jarius holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration and an Associate Degree in Management from the Stella Maris Polytechnic and aspires to complete a Master’s Degree in Social Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management/Planning. 

Overall, Jarius had headed Liberian youth delegations and represented Liberian youth at various youth events in at least 20 countries in Africa, United States of America, Asia and Europe.
